  • Please do not call or email requesting the status of your application.
  • A letter from the program expressing the desire to offer an interview will be sent via email.
  • Candidates will have the option to interview on dates that are available. The program coordinator will try to accommodate the candidate's preference. A maximum of eight candidates will be interviewed on each interview day and availability will be on a first come first serve basis.
  • Candidates will be interviewed by two panels on the same day. Interview panels will consist of: Program director, Associate program director, Core academic faculty members, and Chief residents.
  • The panel interview is expected to take 15 minutes with each candidate. The candidate will have a brief question and answer session during that time.
  • All panel members will fill out the criteria scoring sheet that indicates their rating based on the interview and the candidate's file.
  • Before and after the interview session, the candidate will have an opportunity to learn about the program and interact with current residents.
  • At the end of the interviews, candidates are encouraged to attend the virtual didactic session.

NRMP ranking list

After completing the interviews, the rank order list will be generated by the Program Director. The main factor that determines the rank of the candidates is the interview scores that were filled by the interviewers. The final rank list will be discussed with the Core Faculty, Program Coordinator, and the Associate Program Director, before entered into the NRMP ranking system.
