Faculty
Our talented and accomplished faculty have a deep commitment to the education of all trainees.
This year, each division reviewed and updated both general medicine and subspecialty curricula. New commitments to the residency were made and a strategic plan outlined.
Initiatives to add programs in urban medicine are underway. Our faculty members have a strong interest in optimizing their teaching skills. The faculty have the full support of the department. Formal mentoring and protected-time programs were developed for the faculty. The School of Medicine, under the direction of the Associate Dean, a former chair of Internal Medicine, has developed a University-wide faculty development program.
Also, under the strong leadership of the department, retreats occur annually to address all aspects of the educational process.
