The Wayne State University Internal Medicine Residency Program's mission is to train physicians to become compassionate, outstanding internists skilled in the practice of Internal Medicine and committed to excellence and lifelong learning.
The resources available to our residents for training and education are outstanding. The Detroit Medical Center is one of the largest teaching complexes in the nation. Our residents rotate through a number of unique training sites to gain a broad exposure to clinical medicine.
There are ten subspecialty fellowship programs that are directed primarily through the department's divisions with oversight from medical education.
